Some ABC genius thought it must be fun to have the infantile Waterstreet on the show as he knows all about the topic. 

As has been widely reported Waterstreet has been the subject of a downpour of accusations on the NewMatilda website, including him showing a masturbation video to a young female law student who had applied for a job in his chambers. 

Of course, Waterstreet refutes the allegations. He denied that it was his penis starring in the Harvey Weinstein production of The Hand Job, exclusively viewed by the job applicant, Ms Tina Huang. It was just all part and parcel of a barrister’s work and the video was evidence in a case currently before the courts. 

Unfortunately, New Matilda did some more digging and dug up the hooker who was hired to perform the gruesome frottage. She confirmed that it is her hand and the old rake’s member in the one and the same video. 

NewMatilda, then published a story, Criminal Barrister Charles Waterstreet Lied About Porn Video Played to Young Jobseeker.  

There were plenty of other accusations. Genevieve Wilks, another paralegal was given a book by Waterstreet containing his nude photo. This was a present for her “first day at work”. She was even shown by her boss a pencil drawing of his “beautiful penis”. 

Other job applicants were shown sex toys during their interviews in his chambers, while staff were subjected to sleazy comments and innuendo.   

The University of Sydney’s student careers-hub website decided not to carry advertisements from Waterstreet for interns and paralegals. Bar prez Arthur Moses has urged victims of sexual harassment by his members to lodge complaints with the Office of the Legal Services Commissioner and Sgt Plod is investigating.

“I am thinking seriously about setting up my own GoFundMe page to pay my defamation lawyer. Ironically for a lawyer, I abhor personal litigation as in my experience it achieves very little except for the lawyers. I am forced to defend myself now, as only my staff and I are privy to the facts. I have a series of emails that reveal the full extent of my correspondence with Tina Huang.”   

But unlike Craig McLaughlin and Geoffrey Rush, and there must be others to be sure, no defamation action has been commenced by the great criminal advocate. 

Sydney law shop Marque Lawyers stepped up to the plate and gave legal advice to Tina Huang and NewMatilda. 

In fact, it looks like some sort of contra deal is underway because NewMatilda carries the Marque Lawyers’ wooden-log logo on its emails and runs puff pieces about such things as the firm’s Twitter account and how amazing it is. 

The firm has even provided a defamation explainer for the benefit of NewMatilda readers. 

And there are free mentions of Marque sprinkled throughout NewMatilda’s Twitter account, including retweets of cheesy posts such as:
